The White Robed Monks of St. Benedict

Index: Philosophy of Religion

In the course of life in general, the ministry in particular, we have the opportunity to encounter people with diverse belief systems — especially about religion and God. We offer the inquirer the following information as only that — information. The word god many today consider semantically empty because the graphic symbols g-o-d (sign/symbol configuration) combined represents something so radically different to each person who adds his or own nuances and connotations to the denotative definition of God. Our intention is only to provide information for the reader's own edification, reflection, and to engender more compassion for one's self and for other's as we each in our own way come to know and to know about that (possible) reality we humans have labeled: God.
